In this session we wish to explore together what “Agency” means for us in the coaching context, whether this be our culture, work environment, societal origin, or other context and how this may influence understanding agency.
When we talk of Agency, how do you understand it? And if our versions differ, how might we see it from oneanother’s perspective?
When we can recognise ourselves in the other, cultural differences fade and integrality arises. We can also call this unity. This higher degree of consciousness is a prerequisite and at the same time the reward of being intercultural. It is the task of the intercultural coach to create space for a "self" that is not too rigid and is able to switch between cultures.
As we create this space for an intercultural “self”, we become aware of the lens through which we view the world. How we interact with the world and the expectations we have for how the world interacts, becomes more clear.

Join us for an ICC dialogue and exploration of Agency, what it means and how to integrate a more intercultural understanding in your coaching conversations.
This event is organised by the EMCC/NOBCO Intercultural Coaching Community (ICC). The ICC is rooted in the growing sense that coaching is a social movement, as well as a community of practice. We strive for greater collective impact on the major societal issue of global inequality. ICC organises intercultural masterclasses, dialogues and other events, in order to provide an informal learning environment tailored to coaches interested in: experiential learning, developing an intercultural sense of “self” and enabling integrality
